Our original manufacturing site is strategically located on the St. Lawrence River, in Sorel-Tracy, Quebec, Canada. Easy access by ship, rail, and truck make it a year-round gateway to our global markets. The Technology and Critical Minerals Centre located on site is a stronghold of innovation. We have highly specialised equipment and instruments that help us produce the high-standard metal powder products our customer expect from Rio Tinto.

Our facility in Suzhou, China, is well equipped to efficiently respond to the growth in metal powder demand in the Asia-Pacific region. At this state-of-the-art technology centre we process high-quality, atomised powder produced in our plant in Canada into finished products.

We can mix additives—such as copper, graphite, and lubricants—with steel powder to produce customised premixes for shipment to our customers in Asia.
